Gem was inspired to be a lawyer by Atticus Finch, a character from the book To Kill a Mockingbird which was a required reading in her high school. She then proceeded to take a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor degree in English Literature in Ateneo de Manila University. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree at De La Salle University in 2023.
Gem passed the 2023 bar examinations and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in the same year.
She joined Fiel Brillante Ronquillo Tible on May 2024. She has gained experience handling various types of cases, including civil, criminal, and administrative matters.
